Pune, (Maharashtra) [India]: In a major step towards strengthening industry-academia partnerships, Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU), by Dr. D. Y. Patil Group, Pune, has successfully launched the Cogitate Center of Excellence (CoE) Lab. The inauguration took place on August 14, 2026, at the DPGU School of Technology and Research (DPGU STR) campus in Pimpri, Pune.

The modern lab was inaugurated by the leadership team from Cogitate, including Mr. Nikhil Murarka, Managing Director; Mr. Ashish Nair, Vice President; Mr. Lava Jois, CTO; and Mr. Yatin Mahajan, Product Manager. Representing Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU), by Dr. D. Y. Patil Group, Pune, the event was graced by Dr. Mohan Waman, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge), and Dr. D. G. Bhalke, Director of DPGU STR, along with several faculty members.
The main goal behind setting up this Center of Excellence is to build a practical learning environment where academic studies meet real-world industry needs. Students, especially from the Computer Science and Engineering department, will receive practical training, internship opportunities, and a chance to work on live technology projects. This initiative will help bridge the gap between traditional classroom learning and the evolving requirements of the technology industry.
